These courses include the NAUI Enriched Airnitrox Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver), SSI Adventure Diver (Open Water Diver), and PADI Enriched Air Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver).
PADI Enriched Air Diver
The PADI Enriched Air Diver (EANx) certification is for divers who wish to extend the bottom time of their dives. This course includes both a classroom session and home study. The EANx course teaches about oxygen content and how to use a scuba Oxygen Analyzer. Also, it demonstrates standard procedures for recording oxygen levels in tanks.
You can prolong the time you can stay underwater with Nitrox-enriched air divers without having to make frequent stops. This is due to the lower level of nitrogen in the air, which allows for a wider safety margin. Enriched air mixes are also ideal for deeper dives, as they usually have 32% and 36% oxygen.
NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
An enriched-air diver certification is a good step towards taking your diving to the next level. This course will teach you how to blend air and the dangers associated with high oxygen levels. You will also learn how to use a dive computer and analyze your tanks. In addition, you'll also learn about the Equivalent Air Depthance (EANx) and how to use a standard air dive table. The common blending of nitrogen and oxygen is also covered.
Nitrox is also known as enhanced air. This type of breathing gas contains more oxygen then standard air. You can stay underwater for longer periods of time without having to refill your tank. It reduces the effects of decompression fatigue and is beneficial to your health. Also, enriched water divers have shorter surfaces intervals.
SSI Adventure Diver
SSI is an internationally recognized diving organization, and the SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification is one of its most advanced ratings. You must have knowledge and experience in order to be certified. You must have completed at minimum 50 dives as well as four specialty courses in order to receive this award.
The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox training course was designed to give students the skills and knowledge required to dive in poor visibility. It teaches divers to navigate in the dark, use specialized equipment, and communicate with a dive buddy. After completing this course, they will be eligible to apply for the SSI Nitrox Specialty certification.
SSI Open Water Diver
The SSI Open Water Diver Course is an internationally recognized certification program. It includes three sections: academic learning; in-water swimming pool training; and multiple open water dives. This course teaches you how plan and dive with oxygen-enriched air mixes, up to 40%. This can increase your bottom time and reduce your surface intervals. It may also help to avoid decompression sickness.
PADI and SSI differ in how they handle certifications. You must purchase your manual to obtain a PADI certification. However, with an SSI certification, you receive your card from the dive center where you completed your course. PADI certification centers may also offer temporary cards that you can use as proof of your certification.
