Dive master is a professional who helps others get underwater. Dive master certification is required in many countries for divers who have to be a supervisor or guide. It is not possible for everyone to become a diving master. However, if you have the right qualifications, you can become a dive master. Below are some of the benefits you get from becoming a diver master.
A job description for a dive master
What is the job description of a dive master? A variety of tasks are involved, such as supervising customers, reviewing the risks of diving and delivering briefings to guide groups through a dive. A job description for a divemaster can be more diverse. A dive master could be responsible for multiple aspects of a dive store, including operations and social media.

Diving instructors instruct and supervise scuba techniques, whether in open water or in swimming pools. They can also supervise and plan non-training activities such as navigation exercises. Open water dive instructors can lead students on the surface and navigation portions of the dives. An instructor in diving may also oversee the certification of divers. Dive instructors are subject to different legal obligations. A waiver can be signed by a dive instructor to exempt them from legal liability in certain countries.
Certification requirements
A course is required to become a competent Divemaster. The Divemaster course covers everything you need to know about managing divers, setting up dive sites, managing diver flows and finding the right flow for diving. A minimum of 60 dives must be logged in order to qualify. Instructors on dive courses can also benefit from the assistance of Divemasters, who can help novice divers learn theory and practice their skills.
Divemasters must take two-part exams in addition to the courses. To pass the exam, candidates must score at least 75% on each part. Candidates will need to use the PADI Instructor manual and the electronic RDPML for the exam. Students will need to prepare an Emergency Assistance Plan and perform five waterskills exercises. At least fifteen points must be combined. Divemasters must be certified after completing the course.
Internship required
You have many internship options for becoming a Divemaster. Depending on your preference, you can assist with other PADI Courses or set up dive sites. You may also be required to assist with skill circuits. But, your internship will have a pattern. A typical internship will last eight weeks. During the same time, you might become an Advanced Open Water Diver. After that, you can become a Dive Guide or Divemaster after four to six weeks of training.

Additionally to the paid internships you might be eligible for a free internship as a Divemaster. While free internship options are not ideal, you will have a lot of time to study and get advice from a Divemaster. Additionally, you may be able to receive the necessary manuals, certification, and equipment as part of your internship. You should also be aware of the requirements before enrolling in any Divemaster course.
