
White Point is one of LA's most popular dive spots. It has white bacterial mats along the bottom and is close to the hypo-thermal hotsprings. This dive site features an old shipwreck as well as rock reefs and kelp. You will also see giant sea stars and urchins. The best time to dive is at high tide.
Leo Carillo
Leo Carrillo La is a California state parks located along Los Angeles County's southern coast. It is part Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. There are 1.5 miles of beach stretching into the Santa Monica Mountains. The pristine waters off Leo Carrillo State Park are a great place for scuba divers.
Divers have the option to choose from three main sites at Leo Carrillo. These dive sites are great for beginners, with easy entry points and plenty of parking. They are also popular spots for night diving and lobster hunting and have plenty of marine wildlife to view.

Santa Barbara Island
Santa Barbara Island has some great offshore dive spots. Visitors can hop on a visiting boat to get out to these dive sites. These spots are ideal for hunting and photography as they are often very rugged. These areas are also home to many healthy kelp bed and purple hydro Coral. The visibility is also excellent for Southern California waters.
It is possible to kayak and snorkel on the island. You can also tent camp if the weather is good. It is also home to large numbers of pinnipeds such as harbor seals, northern Elephant seals, and California Sea Lions. These animals can often be seen around the sealion rookery and at several overlooks.
Anacapa Island
Anacapa Island supports a wide variety marine life. The area is home to one of the first Marine Protected Areas in the United States. The area is great for beginners as well as seasoned divers. The waters around the island have a moderately warm temperature, which makes them ideal for wetsuit diving. Surface temperatures can easily reach 70deg F (21deg C) in the late summer and fall. However, temperatures can fall to a low of 50deg F (10deg C) during the colder months of winter. A 7mm wetsuit should be used. During these months visibility is typically at least 100ft (30M).
You can reach Anacapa by diving charter boats as well as the Island Packers. You will find many dive sites on the island, including a 40-foot tall arch rock. These sites can also be viewed from the surface using snorkeling gear.

Veteran's park
Veteran's Park, a Green Space located on Ocean Drive, has a playground as well as fields. This park is great for families who want to spend quality time together. It is also very close to the beach. It offers great views of the ocean from the park on sunny days. It is open throughout the year and has plenty to offer.
Parking is easy. If you're a first-time diver, Veteran's Park is the best place to start your diving adventure. It is easily accessible with restrooms and parking. The meter will always be checked and there's an outdoor shower where you can wash your gear. There is also a changing area. However, the restrooms are closed at dusk.
