Which PADI Level 2 Certification Is Right For You?

If you're interested in becoming a PADI Diver you might be asking which certification you should have. There are many questions that people ask about certifications such as a Medical Certificate, CMAS card, and advanced PADI courses. And what about the costs?

A medical certificate is required before you can become PADI Diver. You must take the PADI self assessment and send it to your doctor for your certification. Your physician will issue you a certificate of fitness for diving.


Course fees

The price of a PADI diver level 2 course varies. PADI is a top-rated training program, but there's also SSI that's cheaper. SSI is the best option for backpackers and people who don't have the budget to pay a lot. SSI is much cheaper and allows you to borrow their study material. You don’t have to bring any textbooks. You can also order your certificate online with their app.

Distance learning options available for a padi diver

Distance learning is an option if you want to take the PADI diver level 2 certification. eLearning is one of them. You can do it online. The eLearning system will require you to fill out a short review questionnaire before you can receive your training record. Flexible learning is possible, so you can complete the course in one weekend or over several months.

Course requirements for a padi diver

An Instructor Development Course is required to become a certified scuba instructor. After completing the Instructor Development Course, you will be responsible for teaching students and granting different levels of scuba diving certification. The course costs approximately $220.
