Technical diving skills can be improved by being familiar with your gear. This will make it easy to locate the equipment you need in an emergency. This is a great way to practice using backup equipment. Even though you shouldn’t dive with your backup gear, it is a good idea to practice using it whenever necessary. This will ensure you have a backup set of gear in case something goes wrong.

TDI

Technical divers must also be knowledgeable about nitrogen levels and gas blends. Technical divers must know how to calculate the number decompression stop needed to make a super multilevel diving experience.

NAUI

The NAUI technical dive skills course is 20 hours long and focuses on advanced techniques and skills. It also covers advanced rescue, lifesaving, and contingency techniques. For the course to be accepted, students must have a Advanced Scuba Diver certificate or an equivalent certification. It also requires a minimum age and pre-requisites.

GUE

GUE's technical diving skills certification covers skills required to perform rescue and technical operations. These skills include the ability control an unconscious diver underwater. In addition, scuba divers must demonstrate competence in open water skills, including ascent and descent procedures. Scuba divers must also be able to swim 500 meters (450 m) in one breath, use basic equipment, and know their limits.


IANTD

The IANTD Technical Diver Program goes beyond recreational diving. It brings a whole new level in safety and comfort to the diving experience. It teaches its students how to use rebreathers which offer cutting-edge benefits such as longer bottom times and better compression.

DSAT

In the early 2000s, DSAT TecRec was created to teach technical diving skills. These courses have always produced highly-trained technical divers. It uses state-of-the art training materials and has a logical, integrated course flow. All the training levels cover everything from basic to advanced, and the modular approach lets students progress at their own pace and gain experience at each level.

PADI

You can sign up for a PADI technical diver skills course if diving is your passion. PADI Tec courses teach you everything, from how to plan your dives to how to use decompression software. You will be able to dive up to 50m (165ft) without any decompression time. Additionally, you will learn how to use a computer-based decompression software program. This course has several levels. The goal is to be a professional technical diver.
