There are many reasons to take Nitrox certification courses. Nitrox diving allows you to experience the thrill of enriched air. It can also help you feel more confident as a diver. Many organizations offer certification courses. Here are some of them: NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver, PADI Enriched Air Diver, SSI Adventure Diver, and Open Water Diver.
PADI Enriched Air Diver
PADI Enriched Air Diver (EANx), certification is for divers who want to increase their bottom time. It includes a short classroom session as well as home study. The EANx course teaches you about the oxygen content in the scuba tanks, how to use a scuba analyzer and the standard procedures for recording that percentage.
The time that divers can stay underwater for is extended when they are Nitrox-enriched. This is due to the reduced amount of nitrogen in the air mix, which means they have a higher safety margin. Also, enriched air mix usually has 32% or 36% oxygen. This makes them great for shallower dives.

NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver
An enriched air diver certification is a step in the right direction if you are looking to take your diving to the next level. This course teaches you the fundamentals of blending air, the risks associated with high oxygen concentrations, and how to handle the equipment. Additionally, you will learn how to operate a diving computer and analyze the contents in your tanks. Additionally, you will learn how to use a standard air diving table and the Equivalent Water Depthance (EANx). You'll also learn about common blending procedures for nitrogen and oxygen.
Nitrox is an enhanced form of oxygen, or enriched air. It's a type o breathing gas that has more oxygen than regular air. The increased oxygen content means you can stay underwater longer and not need to refill your tank. It is also good for your health as it helps to reduce decompression fatigue. Also, enriched-air divers have shorter surface intervals.
SSI Adventure Diver
SSI, an internationally recognized dive organization, offers the SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification. This certification requires experience, knowledge, as well as skills. To receive this award, you must have completed at least 50 dives and four specialty courses.
The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to dive in limited visibility. It teaches divers how navigate in dark conditions, use specialized equipment, communicate with other divers, and how to communicate with them. After completing the course, divers will be awarded the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver rating and are eligible to receive the SSI Nitrox Specialty certificate.

SSI Open Water Diver
Internationally recognized, the SSI Open Water Diver program includes three components: academic learning, in water pool training, and multiple open water dives. During this course, you will learn how to plan and dive using enriched air mixes up to 40% oxygen. This can increase your bottom time and reduce your surface intervals. It may also help to avoid decompression sickness.
PADI and SSI diver centers have different ways of handling certifications. PADI certifications include the requirement to purchase a manual. You will receive your card from your dive center, if you are a SSI certified diver. PADI certification centers can also issue temporary cards which you can use to prove your certification.
