How to improve technical diving skills

Technical diving skills can be improved by being familiar with your gear. This will allow you to quickly find it in case of a problem. It's also helpful to practice using your backup equipment. It is important to practice using your backup equipment when you need it. This will make sure you always have backup equipment in case anything goes wrong.

TDI

Technical divers should be able to use a decompression device. Technical divers must be able calculate the number and order of decompression stops necessary to perform a multilevel dive.

NAUI

The NAUI technical diver skills course takes 20 hours and teaches advanced diving skills. The course also covers advanced lifesaving, rescue and contingency procedures. For the course to be accepted, students must have a Advanced Scuba Diver certificate or an equivalent certification. It also requires a minimum age and pre-requisites.

GUE

The GUE technical diving skills certification includes skills to perform rescue and technical dive operations. These skills include the ability control an unconscious diver underwater. Scuba divers also need to be proficient in open water skills including ascents and descents. The course requires scuba divers to be able and competent in open water skills, including ascent and descent, for at least 500 metres (450 meters).


IANTD

IANTD Technical Divers adds a new level safety and confidence to diving. Among other things, it trains its students to use rebreathers, which have cutting-edge benefits, such as extended bottom times and better decompression.

DSAT

DSAT TecRec, a series of technical diving skills courses, was launched in the early 2000s. The courses have consistently produced highly trained technical divers. It uses the latest training materials and follows a logically integrated course structure. All the training levels cover everything from basic to advanced, and the modular approach lets students progress at their own pace and gain experience at each level.

PADI

If you enjoy diving and are looking to improve your skills, you could enroll in a technical diving skills course with PADI. PADI Tec courses include everything you need to know about planning and using decompression equipment. You'll learn how to dive at depths up to 50m (165 feet) with minimal to no decompression time and learn how to use a desk top decompression software program. There are many levels to this course. The ultimate goal is professional technical diving.
