The Tec 40 Diver program is designed for those who want to learn how to dive in emergency situations. The course comprises three training dives as well as a confined diving experience. There are also knowledge development sessions and practical application. After completing at least 30 dives, 10 of which are enriched air nitrox, this certification is possible. You'll be eligible to attend Padi Tec40 courses offered by colleges and universities all over the world after completing this course.
Tec 40 course
PADI Tec 40 expands on the skills and techniques of recreational divers to include more advanced techniques. Students will learn advanced techniques for deep diving and be introduced to trimix 65 and air decompression gas. Students at Tec 40 can also learn to use back gas and master buoyancy controls. They will also learn advanced nitrox theory.
The Tec40 course emphasizes team dive techniques, self-reliance in and communication in the sea. Decompression theory is also taught to students, which makes it easier to plan dives. A detailed session is also provided on equipment configuration and best practices.

The PADI Tec 40 course takes about three days to complete. To complete the course, students must have completed at least 30 logged dives, including at least 10 in enriched air. Students can switch to enriched air and dive up to 40m after completing the course.
Requirements for taking the Tec 40 course
Technical diving is a popular option. The PADI Tec40 course is a good place to start. It bridges the gap from recreational diving to full technical deep compression diving. This course teaches the skills necessary for tec diver training. You will be able to decompress to 40m without stopping. You'll also be able to use a full technical rig.
The Tec40 course teaches advanced decompression theories and emphasizes team-diving methods as well as a self-reliant attitude in the water. Tec40 introduces students to advanced nitrox theory including partial-pressures as well as oxygen exposure over multiple dives.
For Tec 40 course, college credit
PADI Tec40 requires a minimum of 30 logged diving dives. This includes 10 enriched oxygen nitrox dives. It teaches divers how they can plan their dives and how to use oxygen and enhanced air to decompress. It also teaches the diver how to plan and make extended decompression stops. It is the next level in a diver’s training, and opens the door for deeper expeditions. College credit is available for those who complete the course.

The Tec 40 course is for advanced divers who want to expand their knowledge of technical diving. This course covers the planning, use of two decogas (nitrox or 100% oxygen in stages), and navigation with the multi-gas system. The course is suitable for divers who have completed their PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification and have dived at least 30 times.
