SSI's Enriched Air Nitrox course

The EnrichedAir Nitrox course by SSI is a great option for divers looking to increase their bottom time and reduce their surface intervals. This course will teach you how to calculate the best enriched air mixture for your particular depth, and how to plan your dives to maximize the use of the enriched air.

After completing an Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver course or SSI’s EnrichedAir Nitrox class, SSI will continue to provide ongoing training that will give you the skills and knowledge necessary to safely use enriched air. It also helps you plan future dives so that you can minimize decompression sickness risks. After you pass the exams and complete the course, the enriched-air cylinder can be used safely.

Online learning for Nitrox certification

Two ways to obtain your enriched air certification are available: online and in-classroom. If you are taking the classroom course, you will need a dive computer to perform the skills. It takes approximately two to three hours to complete your classroom component of your enriched aviation certification. You can combine your enriched air certification with a PADI Open Water (or Advanced Open Water) course. If you have limited time, you can also sign up for private classes or take advantage of online learning resources. The course can also be taken online. You can also opt to do the nitrox-dive offline.
