DAN offers many programs for divers. This includes a medical insurance program that covers transport and emergency treatments. It also provides members with the latest information regarding recreational scuba diving. Members have the ability to access educational and medical resources and products. They also get notification about emergency situations and other important information.
Insurance for scuba diving accidents
DAN diving accident insurance protects members against financial losses resulting from an underwater accident. A $35 membership fee is required for an individual and $55 for a household. It also helps the DAN carry out research on the safety of diving and offers emergency medical assistance. Purchasing accident insurance is not required for membership, but it is a good idea to consider it before diving.

PDE stands short for Project Dive Exploration. If you're a DAN diver, you can help the charity by sharing your profile information. To participate in this contest, simply dive for at least five dives between May 28 and September 3, 2007 to be entered in a drawing. The commemorative t-shirt will go to the diver who has completed at least 10 dives.
