PADI Open Water Diver certification
PADI Open Water Diver certifications can be purchased for as low at $350 - provided you find a school that offers it. For this certification to be awarded, you must complete at least four open-water dives. PADI recognizes that everyone learns differently. Let's talk about private courses if you're interested. Apart from the Open Water Diver manual you will also need to complete knowledge reviews. These reviews are meant to assess your swimming and floatation skills. Techniques for confined-water diving
PADI Instructor Manual lists the skills that are required for each level of confined water diving. These skills include mask clearing, ascent and descent, neutral buoyancy at different depths, and setting up and using your gear. These skills are necessary for open water diving. However, confined diving is much simpler. You will also have more fun. You can also dive under water and observe a range of wildlife.
The PADI Open Water Diver experience begins at 8.30 am. The experience begins with a brief orientation and a theoretical session. Finally, you will have a practical session in restricted water. During this time you will learn to breathe underwater and compensate for pressure. You will then go on a PADI dive to the Atlantic Princess. Maximum training depth
During the course of your Open Water certification, you will be taught how to safely dive up to the maximum permitted depth. Open Water certified divers still have questions about the depth they are permitted to dive. Most agencies allow up to 50 minutes of open water diving before they recommend that divers go deeper. To help you decide if this is an appropriate training depth for you, here is some information that can help you decide whether this is the right choice.
You will need to be able to swim 50 feet/15m without stopping if you want to take an advanced course. A typical course lasts fourteen minute so you must be able to swim at least 200 yards (185 meters). The equipment you will need is a single-cylinder, with at most 72 feet of capacity and adequate supervision. You will also need an exposure suit that fits the duration of your diving course.
Requirements
A scuba certification course usually takes three to four days to complete. Students complete a manual and study sections, and quizzes are given throughout the course. Instructors are available to help students find their answers. Students begin their certification with confined diving, a safe and comfortable way to learn the basics. After the student has completed their confined dive, he/she is ready for open water diving. The instructor will assist students throughout the entire process and will go over the material with them.
Prospective divers must complete four open-water dives while they are undergoing the course. Each dive will be a chance to learn and practice safe diving techniques. After passing the theory exam and practical test, the final exam will be given. The prerequisite to any certification is passing this exam. The exam is used by the instructor to assess if the student understands important dive skills. The student must be able to recognize water pressure and how to breathe underwater.
